
With nearly 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, Angella Bennett brings deep expertise, strategic vision, and passion to her role as Regional Director of Tourism for Canada at the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB). Based in Canada, she leads the national sales team, working closely with tour operators, airlines, travel advisors and industry partners to strengthen relationships, deliver destination education, promotion and marketing, and drive year-round demand for Jamaica.
During her tenure at the JTB, Bennett has successfully guided her team through unprecedented challenges, including the global pandemic, by implementing innovative activations and fostering resilience across the trade. Most recently, in response to Jamaica’s most devastating hurricane impact, she helped raise more than CAD $2 million to support national relief efforts.
Originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica, Bennett has held senior hospitality sales and marketing director roles across multiple international markets, including the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Jamaica. Prior to joining the JTB in 2019, she served as Director of Sales at RIU Hotels & Resorts, Jamaica, overseeing sales and revenue management for 2,500 rooms across five resorts during her 13year tenure.
She serves on various boards in Canada, including the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation, Program Advisory Council of Seneca and Humber Polytechnic.
